When rumors were released a couple of months ago, many were in disbelief of this possibility. Google recently released a video clip of Project Glass: a glimpse into what their glasses are capable of doing - take photos, organize and manage daily activities as well as communicate via many forms of media - messaging, video calling, voice command options and social media. It also serves the purpose of information and location sourcing and sharing.
In a nutshell, I'd say it's a recreation of reality - our day to day reality. This innovation, when fully realized will change the way we communicate, interact and go about our daily lives. Perhaps the way Apple, Facebook, Twitter or other mobile devices did? I seriously don't know.
Today, google is in the midst of testing their new innovation and acquiring market responses to further improve this revolutionary gadget.
Perhaps what needs to be carefully considered as well is how Google will strategically position this product upon its official release. Knowing who its competitors are is vital in how it brands and promotes the "Googly Glasses," because at the very heart of its innovative concept, it is a remarkable idea. Google has to strike at the core and clearly deliver what value they are offering to the waiting global market and then werk it.
(As a prototype, I think it looks really sleek (although others may say it's verging on nerdy).
Ahh... technology... never fails to amaze me.
What do you think? Is this the next Apple-innovation revolution?
Is this even possible in the first place?
What will or won't make you go out and buy it?
